How is the progress on this, if any. I was going to watch the tv rips but should I wait or should I not hold my breath?

There are 4 episodes for now. It will be complited within two weeks. All existing rips are horrible, so if you ok with ~500 Mb per episode and 720p upscale, you should wait.

too bad all the releases are hardcoded .avi, so no subs for this

I tried to ocr the subs but that didn't really work out. The series is licensed though. We should be able to trackdown a script somewhere.
