If the title doesn't includes [720] it won't be the [1080]?
Does that mean 720p is good enough,and there is no use to do 1080p?

but for some reason, I get all these black squares.

Can you provide a screenshot?

Please try using the new video player and codecs (the one pack I'm recommending is http://cccp-project.net - wise choise for the smart man).

The source isn't good enough - in fact, it's just a sd upscale and just slightly better than dvd. It's not worth fullhd resolution.

Why yours using a 10bit codecs now?

I think it's not timing to use a 10bit codecs now.

Displays are optimizationed at 8bit codecs....

So we can't see 10bit codec encoded files pure....

And finally, I heard that almost of the BD sources are made by 8bit codecs.

10bit is better. The "timing" is best and the 8bit is an ancient technology now for the ripping. We already have videocards and monitors that fully supporting 10bit, and can see all benefits of that.

Although all blurays are in 8bit colour it's not means that encoding it in the 10bit is not efficient - at least it's size, at most - smoother gradients and so on. Please read some material about this stuff and you will not be able to complain after that ^__^
